Schoology Announces Record K-12 Enterprise Growth, Surpassing 1,000 Institution and District-Wide Customers

Chosen for Ease-of-Use and Collaboration Tools, New Implementations Include Seattle Public Schools and Boulder Valley School District

NEW YORKSept. 10, 2015—Schoology, the education technology company that puts collaboration at the heart of the learning experience, today announced seven new client wins in the K-12 space. The new implementations follow five consecutive years of triple digit growth and a newly expanded executive team.

K-12 schools are adopting Schoology's Learning Management Systems (LMS) because it allows teachers to personalize education, increases collaboration among faculty, and connects students and educators outside of the classroom. Users now have access to over 25 million resources and a global network of nearly one million educators from over 130 countries.

"As more K-12 schools adopt technology in the classroom, teachers and students are faced with an overwhelming number of tools and apps, all of which promise ways to better manage crowded classrooms and improve test scores. Unfortunately, these are often underused or abandoned because they are difficult to learn and master, don't translate across curriculums, or provide enough visibility into student engagement or performance," said Jeremy Friedman, co-founder and CEO of Schoology.  "At Schoology, we're making it possible for educators to more easily personalize education and improve student outcomes, but in a way that works easily with their current systems and teaching approach."

In addition to connecting a class or district's digital solutions under a single, intuitive platform, Schoology enables its vast network of educators and administrators to share curriculum, resources, best practices and personal experiences to create better educational outcomes. For students, this collaboration extends to their coursework, classroom and beyond, allowing them to participate in discussions, speak their minds, gain a perspective beyond the classroom's four walls, and work together to gain deeper understanding.  Schoology also offers a mobile app so educators can manage their classes on the go and students can engage in schoolwork in the environment they prefer.

Recent Schoology wins include:

  • Seattle Public Schools, Wash.
  • Boulder Valley School District, Colo.
  • West Aurora School District, Ill.
  • Bristol City Schools, Tenn.
  • Princeton Day School, N.J.
  • New Legacy Charter High School, Colo.
  • Castilleja School, Calif
