Best in Class: Schoology Named Best Overall PK-12 Education Solution and Best LMS in 2015 CODiE Awards

Top Overall Education Solution in 2014 Again Recognized in Two Categories for 2015: Best PK-12 Solution and Best K-12 Course or Learning Management Solution

NEW YORK—May 12, 2015—For the second year in a row, Schoology took home top honors as the Best K-12 Course or Learning Management Solution and the overall Best PK-12 Solution in the annual CODiE Awards, the education technology industry’s equivalent to the Oscars. The CODiEs, awarded by the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA), recognize leading products in the business software, digital content and education technology industries.

Schoology is an innovative online platform that powers collaboration, communication and resource sharing in schools and colleges. Educators can build media-rich learning communities within Schoology where students can share, collaborate and learn together in class and beyond the classroom walls—even from a smartphone.

“We are honored to be chosen again by the educators and edtech industry leaders whose rigorous product evaluations determine the CODiE Award winners,” said Jeremy Friedman, CEO of Schoology. “There were many excellent products under consideration, and we welcome this recognition from the education software industry, educators and our peers.”

The CODiEs are considered to be the education technology industry’s premier awards, honoring the leading products in K-12 and higher education. “SIIA’s 2015 Education CODiE Award winners are some of the most innovative, high-impact education products out there,” said Karen Billings, Vice President of the SIIA Education Technology Industry Network. “We congratulate all of this year’s CODiE Award winners, and thank them for the contributions they have made to the education industry.”

In addition to industry recognition, Schoology has been selected by thousands of institutions worldwide as their learning management system of choice, including the country of Uruguay’s Plan CeibalColorado State University—Global Campus, and—most recently—the State of Delaware.
