Schoology Announces Expanded Leadership Team to Accelerate Growth, Market Penetration
Education Technology Leader Onboards Executives with Track Records of Building and Scaling Global SaaS Companies
NEW YORK—Aug. 12, 2015—Schoology today announced that it has expanded its senior management team with the appointments of Norman Weissberg as Chief Revenue Officer, Melton Littlepage as Chief Marketing Officer, and Michael Brinkman as Chief Technology Officer.
"Norman, Melton and Michael are deeply experienced, respected professionals with the energy and drive needed to match our vision for expanding what is possible in education," said Jeremy Friedman, CEO of Schoology. "The addition of these three critical executives who have built, grown and scaled SaaS companies positions us to take advantage of the growing demand for Schoology's Learning Management System in K-12 schools and institutions of higher education."
Friedman added these executives at a crucial time in Schoology's history as the company has experienced five consecutive years of triple digit growth. Schoology has seen explosive growth in the K-12 market, reaching more than nine million students across 198 countries. It has also gained significant traction in the higher education market, as well as more enterprise-scale deals, with thousands of institutions worldwide as their learning management system of choice, including Colorado State University-Global Campus; the country of Uruguay's Plan Ceibal; and the State of Delaware.
The new additions combine decades of experience across crucial business functions.
