FETC 2019 is just around the corner and if there’s one thing to remember, it’s that you’ll want to stop by booth #1819. You may be asking yourself “Why?” out of all of the booths that will be there. Well, we’ve got a few reasons for you.
Customer Led Sessions
At Schoology, we pride ourselves on our vibrant and enthusiastic community. They are always so willing to share their experiences and jump in whenever is necessary. And what better way to learn more about taking your experience with Schoology to the next level, than by hearing it straight from the people who are in the platform every day.
We will be holding various presentations at our booth (#1819) on both Tuesday and Wednesday.

Tuesday, January 29th
10:00AM: Schoology 101: LMS Core Features and Best Practices | Schoology Staff
Dive into Schoology's LMS and learn the ins and outs of the learning platform. We'll explore Schoology's core features, some best practices for using them, and the impact they have on the learning process.
11:00AM: Reaching All Learners: Schoology for Differentiation | Janice Harding Instructional Technology Consultant, Macomb Intermediate School District, MI
Schoology has many features that support differentiation to meet the needs of students. This session will focus on a few of the page features that teachers can use to reach all learners.
12:00PM: Elevating Google Drive Assignments | Teresa Phillips, Digital Support Colleague and Maria McGovern, District Technology Coordinator, Flagler County Schools Coordinator, FL
See how Schoology Google Drive Assignments can be used for so much more than a digital inbox for Google Docs. Schoology Google Drive Assignments can be used with Docs, Sheets, and Slides to create meaningful assignments. Teachers can easily see real-time what students are working on and offer feedback and suggestions before assignments are submitted.
1:00PM: Transform How You Assess Student Understanding | Schoology Staff
Assessing student understanding and using that data to inform instruction, district initiatives, and curriculum development is a pinnacle challenge of our time. Schoology has taken the largest leap of any LMS vendor by building an assessment management platform (AMP) seamlessly into it's learning platform. The result is a learning environment that allows students to be assessed against institutional standards within the normal classroom workflow—one that enables all stakeholders to make data-informed decisions about how to move forward. Learn how to develop Schoology into a Hub for Teaching and Learning in for your school district. This session will provide tips on how to set up LTI's or Content in Resources, Courses and the App Center.

This session will expose attendees to several strategies designed to promote and encourage collaboration among students. Using features of Schoology as well as apps and integrations, attendees will identify and examine ways in which students can work together to review content, share ideas, and create products founded in collaborative practices.
11:30AM: Seeing the Light with Schoology: St Johns County's Journey using Schoology | Brock O’Shell, Applied Technology Specialist, St. Johns County School District, FL
This session will focus on St Johns County's journey with using Schoology. We will share our implementation plan and highlight the tools within Schoology that were used in each phase of implementation. Tools include: Updates, Calendar, and Materials.
12:30PM: Building a Digital Breakouts in Schoology | Tara Amsterdam, Instructional Technology Coach, Colonial School District, DE
Learn how to use native Schoology features to design engaging and challenging breakout room learning experience for your students and/or professional learning audience.

Connecting With Your PLN and Networking
In case you missed it on the flyer, on Monday January 28th at 5:00PM, we will be hosting a Schoology Community Meetup! That’s right, this is your chance to to network with fellow Schoology users all in one place and discuss whatever you want! You will have the chance to sign up for the Schoology Champions Program as well.
The main focus of this meetup will be to give you all the opportunity to learn more about our customer success program—Schoology Compass which helps districts focus with self-service resources and tools to support school and district leaders in their journey to success.
We really hope you stop by the booth and sit in on some sessions, enter the raffles, or even just chat with some of us here at Schoology. We alway enjoy getting to meet our community in person and are looking forward to getting to know you all better!
