How Grading Discussions on iOS Devices Just Got Awesome
For the past few weeks we've been paying special attention to discussions—how they can be used to enhance learning and also the exciting ways we've upgraded our own discussion feature. Now we're turning our sights towards our iOS mobile app—specifically graded discussions.
That's right: the newest version of our iOS app is now ready for download, and it includes a number of updates—one of which will streamline how you grade discussions.
Improved Discussion Grading
In order to simplify discussion grading and save you time in the process, we've added a new panel where you can access your rubrics and point-based scales inline with graded discussions. This enables you to view your students' discussion responses and grade them in one fluid workflow.
To give a student a grade, select their response, see that it's highlighted, and enter the grade. Just remember to save everything before moving on to the next post by touching the green check mark.
iPhone 6 and 6 Plus Support
If you use an iPhone 6 or 6 Plus, you'll notice the Schoology app looks and feels better on your device. That's because we've optimized our app to utilize the larger screen space and higher resolution.
Oh yeah. That's nice.
Support for Portuguese
Our iOS app now supports Portuguese! So if your device's language settings are set to Portuguese, then all the menus, course material types, etc. will appear in the language. Keep in mind, updates, material descriptions, and other customized text will not be translated.
Overall Experience Improvements
As with all our mobile updates, Schoology iOS v3.7 includes numerous style updates, stability improvements, and bug fixes. Some you may notice, and others may not. But I guarantee they are playing a big role in your day-to-day experience.
