Happy Thanksgiving! The Schoology Crew Shares Our Gratitude

Posted in Schoology | November 26, 2014

Here in the US, Thanksgiving is right around the corner! It's time to visit with family and friends, eat until we fall over, and reflect on the wonderful things we too often take for granted.

In the spirit of the season, a few of us here at Schoology wanted to share with you what we're thankful for. And if you feel the urge, don't hesitate to share what you're thankful for in the comments area below.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Jeremy Friedman
CEO and Co-founder

I’m thankful for the incredible team that we have here at Schoology and for the community who continues to inspire us all daily. Without our users we would not be here, and without our team there would be no product for our users to use. So thank you all for rallying behind exciting initiatives to help improve education! Let’s continue to learn, together.

Jen Marie Robustelli
Marketing Communications Director

At Schoology, I’m thankful that my job connects me with such inspiring and innovative educators from every corner of the world. I learn something new every day from our user community.

I am thankful to have the flexibility to work from home! Schoology understands the importance of family, our immediate family and our extended work family, wherever they are located! Happy Thanksgiving from the Buckeye State!

At Schoology, I truly feel like I am part of something special. We’re constantly extending our technological reach, literally helping kids all over the world learn, and doing this with people that make you feel at home. I am very thankful for all of this, but most of all, I’m thankful that I can say, “Schoology is Coology!”

While I was growing up, my parents would often share stories of the obstacles they faced in their pursuit of a good education in the Dominican Republic. One story that always stuck with me was how my father and his brother would have to go to school in shifts since they only had one pair of shoes between both of them. I am thankful that my parents worked hard so that I could focus on my education, and, as a result, I get to help empower students and teachers around the world.

Jon Hume
Sr. International Sales Director

I’m thankful that Schoology has a global mindset and has afforded me the ability to create a Global Education Network (GEN) with inspiring and innovative educators from every corner of the world. I'm also thankful for the amazing team that has created such a beautiful product that is inspiring positive change throughout education systems worldwide.

Linda Paul
VP of Team Development

I am thankful that a combination of fate and my previous work experiences have brought me to Schoology. When job candidates ask me what I don't like about Schoology, the only thing I've been able to come up with is, "Sometimes the office is too cold." Seriously, that's it! A great boss, a great team, a great environment, a great product with a great mission. Thank you, Schoology.

Julie Yoon
Director of Support

I’m thankful for teachers who care about their students and strive to make learning a part of their lives. Their lessons, passion, and compassion extend far beyond the classroom. The teachers I had growing up continue to inspire me today.

Bradley Kemp
Client Consultant

I’m thankful that our community is full of lifelong learners. It’s easy to do things the same way and much more difficult to try something new, especially when it impacts instruction. You are trailblazers in this new world! Thanks for attending our training sessions and joining the journey into the new digital learning frontier.

María Carolina Simon
Regional Sales Director for Latin America

At Schoology we eliminate boundaries, whether they are the traditional boundaries of a classroom or geographical and socioeconomic boundaries. I am grateful to be part of a company that helps eliminate boundaries and democratize access to technology. If a kid in the developing world has access to the same resources as a kid in the best school districts in the USA, we are one step closer to a better world.

I am grateful to have the opportunity to connect and learn with such amazing people on a daily basis. Whether you see it this way or not, Schoology Community, you are a powerful force that's shaping our world, and the lives you touch, mine included, are forever changed. Thank you.

On a more serious note, I’m thankful that no matter how much Sriracha I slather on my food, here in the office, there’s always another bottle waiting to be opened. ;)

Enjoy your holiday!
